We’re proud to share that Cotton Court has signed up to the Lancashire Skills Pledge, a commitment that brings together local businesses who are actively working to support skills development and create opportunities for people across Lancashire.
Through the pledge, we’re recognised for the ways we’re already contributing, including:
- Offering apprenticeships
- Upskilling our existing team
- Supporting the future talent pipeline through work experience placements
- Providing meaningful social value by backing local charities and community initiatives
It’s all part of our wider approach to doing business, supporting people, creating opportunities, and helping build a stronger future for Lancashire.
Amy Blundell, Operations Manager at Cotton Court, said:
“The Skills Pledge felt like a natural fit for us because it brings together so many of the things we already care about, supporting young people, investing in our team, and giving back to our community.”
Being part of the Skills Pledge also brings benefits for us as a business, from growing our own talent and improving recruitment, to building relationships with schools, colleges and the local university. We’ve seen first hand how offering placements and apprenticeships brings fresh thinking into the business and helps our own team develop new skills in the process.
