We can’t quite believe it’s been almost 14 years since the very first Gift Appeal. Since then, you’ve helped us collect over 20,000 gifts for children and young people supported by Barnardo’s.
One of the things we love most about the appeal is seeing local people and businesses come together and knowing what that means for the children and young people receiving the gifts. Some supporters have been involved for years; others join with a new idea or an offer to help.

Our appeal partners have helped the appeal grow so much over the past few years. By organising collections, offering drop-off points and getting their colleagues, customers and members involved, they’ve made it easier for more people across Lancashire to take part.
We know those collections take time and organising, especially at an already busy time of year. To everyone who’s made the appeal part of their Christmas plans, thank you. Your support means more gifts reach the children and young people Barnardo’s works with.

You could swap the office Secret Santa for a gift collection, ask guests to bring a present to your Christmas get-together or offer a drop-off point for customers and members. You might have an idea of your own too!
