We wanted to share an upcoming event from The Foxton Centre, which we think will be really worthwhile for anyone interested in the work happening across Preston and the support being provided to people facing difficult situations locally.
Many of you will already know of Foxton’s work across the city, supporting young people, women in vulnerable situations, and people experiencing homelessness. Earlier this year, members of the Cotton Court team took part in the Big PNE Sleepout in support of the charity, and we also recently attended the opening of Foxton’s new Youth & Community Centre in Preston.
On Thursday, 11th June, from 6pm to 8pm, Foxton will be hosting a special Impact Evening at their new centre. It’s a chance to hear directly from people who have been supported through Foxton’s services and listen to real stories and experiences from those who have lived them.
Guests will also have the opportunity to look around the new Youth & Community Centre, which opened last year after young people themselves helped raise £2.5 million and played a big part in designing the building.
The evening is simply about giving people a better understanding of the work Foxton does locally and the impact it continues to have across Preston.
A buffet will be provided on the evening, and places are limited, so registration is recommended for anyone wishing to attend.
We hope to see some familiar faces there.
