We’ve signed the Lancashire Skills Pledge as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting skills, development and real opportunities across Preston and the wider Lancashire area.
Creating real work experience opportunities
We regularly support young people at different stages of their journey into work and giving young people something practical they can take into their next step. Recently we have provided:
- A weekly placement for a college student, focused on building practical skills in photography, film and content creation
- Week-long work experience placements for local high school students, giving them a genuine insight into a professional working environment
- Ongoing introductions and signposting for school leavers, helping connect them with employers, training providers and opportunities through our network
Working closely with universities
We also support students at university level through practical involvement:
- Our CEO, Rob, is an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Lancashire, delivering guest lectures and supporting students with real business insight
- We’ve provided live project briefs, including developing an AI chatbot and website support tools, giving students experience working on real challenges.
Supporting pathways into work
Alongside placements and projects, we also recruit apprentices, creating longer-term opportunities within the business.
Our most recent apprentice has just completed their programme, and we’re planning to bring in another this summer.
Why this matters to us
We work with a wide mix of organisations across Lancashire, training providers, employers, public sector teams , so we see first-hand how the right support really helps people move forward.
